Mosetta M. Penick Phillips-Cermak, Ph.D. is a teacher and the award nominated author of 16 children's books. 

In addition she writes academic papers, lesson plans and curriculum modules for teachers.

She lives with her two Labrador Retrievers, one black and one yellow, and two Siamese cats in Ohio. 

Her latest children's title, Rajah and the Big Blue Ball was released on May 1, 2009.
